When I was on holiday in August I managed to find the time to visit East Fortune Air Museum just outside Edinburgh. It was a number of years since I had been there and I was pleasantly surprised.
The pride of the collection is obviously Concorde which I never realised was so huge. Anyway enough gabbing, here are the photos but apologies for the cockpit shots as there was only a small hole in the perspex to take pictures through.
I cannot help but feel Orkney is missing something. RNAS Twatt is probably the most complete aerodrome left over from WW2 and in my opinion would be a fantastic location for an aviation museum. Sadly it is never likely to happen but would certainly be a project I would be up for.
Thanks for taking the time to look in
All the best
Neil 😉
